Yellow fever is a viral illness transmitted by carrying vectors. This preventable disease leads to fever, headaches, soreness, and if untreated, jaundice – hence the name. The chance of contracting yellow fever is mainly confined in subtropical areas of that landmass and the southern hemisphere.
